What is healthy foods? Since food industrial growth together with increasing population around the world, many health problem also raised. The indication of health problem is because of food, that why some people limit what foods they eat for some reasons, ie: health, morality or habit.
Food is any substance consumed to provide nutritional support for the body. It is usually of plant or animal origin, and contains essential nutrients, such as carbohydrates, fats, proteins, vitamins, or minerals.
Substance of food is ingested by an organism and assimilated by the organism's cells in an effort to produce energy, maintain life, and/or stimulate growth.
Today many type of foods are around us, ie junk food, fast food, organic food, natural food, slow food,  whole food and others.  Which ones is good and healthy for us?
Among the thousands of different foods, the majority contain at least several of the nutrients our bodies need s. There are the list criteria of healthy foods :
  • Healthy Foods are the Most Nutrient Dense
  • Healthy Foods are Whole Foods
  • Healthy Foods are Familiar Foods
  • Healthy Foods are Readily Available
  • Healthy Foods are Affordable
  • Healthy Foods are Taste Good
